FIFA has postponed two international tournaments next year in Indonesia and Peru until 2023 due to the corona virus outbreak.
According to the French news agency AFP, both events (Under-20 World Cup in Indonesia and Under-17 World Cup in Peru) were to be held next year.
FIFA said in a statement that there were still challenges in hosting international sports due to the Code 19 epidemic. The epidemic has also affected international travel.
The global situation has failed to reach the point where the challenges of hosting both tournaments can be met.
FIFA has added that it is looking forward to hosting successful tournaments in 2023 with both host countries.
The corona virus epidemic has also affected other sports tournaments.
Euro 2020 has been postponed until June next year. The Copa America has also been postponed and the Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed until January 2022.
